Precious Magical Messy Moments

Finding the balance between having one eye on the end game but not becoming too focused on the final visuals is the key to creating magic in our life time.

The creative journey is messy, as is art of life and learning.

Life, and especially childhood, is full of most magic when we lean in and trust the process. The people we share time with, places we visit, challenges we face, problems we solve and those we struggle with. These define who we are and who we become.

So it stands to reason that if we are mindful of creating spaces and opportunities where we can explore and experiment, grow and feel supported. We will like who we are and can trust who we will become.

I want to be a master in my trade, this is only possible if I allow myself, over and over, to be a beginner so I can keep learning.

When we look very closely at a painting we may see distinct colours and it may even look beautiful but likely messy and we often can't see the bigger picture.            In the process of painting a work of art, we take time to get to know our medium, learn to mix colours, so we can choose the right shades, we study our model or landscape. All the components we learn and experiment with can finally result in our work of art.

So wether we are in a therapy session, a lesson, playing, chatting or simply getting dressed. Let's be mindful and notice the opportunities to explore and experiment. As ultimately this is where the magic happens. We may capture the magic in a nameable achievement or milestone that comes further down the line, but we will know it was created in the precious, magical, messy, moments.
